Nearly 2 weeks ago now I had a colonoscopy under sedation. I was anxious about it and as usual my veins were difficult to access. After 2 attempts, the doctor and nurse came to insert the canula. I have developed a tremor which doesn't help. They were very kind and professional and the doctor took my hand to manage the tremor and the nurse managed to get the canula in my wrist with his help. The procedure went as well as it could. Not enjoyable exactly but the team got me through. I would like to thank the team Dr Bajwa, nurse Popa and nurse Stanton for their care and competence. When it was over, the rest of the team were diligent in checking how I was and giving me tea and a biscuit before releasing me into the care of my family. I would recommend them to anyone. The endoscopy unit could not have done any better. Thank you.
