I have been moved from an Animas insulin pump to to a Medtronic model. This has been a poorly managed process with significant changes in the way you order consumable supplies.
I have been asked to order through NHS PECOS which is entirely the wrong platform for patients. The language used on this platform are alien to patients; costs and supply chain alerts are visible and there is no way of confirming orders are on there way. I run a digital design agency and consider myself digitally literate but this process is arduous and frankly designed with so little care. It’s simply poorly thought through and implemented. To add insult to injury the supplies have went from next day delivery to 3-4 weeks. I now have little faith I will have my necessary insulin supplies for Christmas.
