Arrived at 11am(which was a little early) I was greeted at day care reception and my details were checked. After a short wait I was collected by the nurse in charge and taken into the ward and passed over to another nurse who had a trainee with her. More details were checked and a blood sample taken. A little time later I was visited by the anaesthetist who checked more details and explained what was to take place. After a short period I was collected by a porter and taken to the operation theatre, where the anaesthetic and a trainee assistant started to prepare me for surgery. On coming round from the anesthetics I was greeted by another nurse who tended me until I had come round completely. When I had recovered I was taken back to the ward. After a while I was brought sandwiches, tea and biscuits. After being checked over several times and recovered enough, my wife was contacted to say I was ready to go home. All those taking care of me during my stay at the hospital thank you very much.
