I was a patient in Shrewsbury A&E dept evening Sunday 21st Jan. It was the last place I wanted to be being a nurse myself but paramedics persuaded me I needed checking over having had an episode of chest pain, breathlessness and tachycardia.
The admitting nurse was truly charming and very professional under the circumstances. I was then moved into a corridor on a trolley to wait for blood results. From the corridor I was taken to x-ray by a very pleasant x-ray porter.
Then I waited for the Dr. He came and examined me in the corridor asking me questions in front of everyone, yes I have a voice however I was so shocked at his unprofessionalism. It was not a one off all the patients were spoken to in front of others no screens we all knew what everyone was in wit
Did not give me confidence in our health service and the way we treat patients. I know the NHS is under pressure but this is unacceptable practice
