"Unsung Heros"

About: Heartlands Hospital / Colorectal surgery

(as a service user),

I had a colonoscopy at Heartlands Hospital Birmingham

I was so anxious about the procedure and of course the results to the point my blood pressure increased, I was greeted by a lovely Nurse / Sister in charge and taken to a room to talk through the procedure, this young Spanish Lady put me at ease immediately and I felt safe and a little more relaxed, I was taken into theatre where I was introduced to a very handsome Doctor and his team, who were exceptionally caring, understanding and sympathetic towards my fears, Although still very nervous they continued to reassure me, and talked to me throughout the whole procedure, I am grateful to them for their kindness, friendliness and compassion, these nurses and doctors are our un-sung heroes, and anyone having this procedure done in the future at Heartlands you are in kind and very good hands.....God Bless our Doctors and Nursing staff.....

Dear Jinneyann

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback following your recent experience at Heartlands

Hospital for an colonoscopy investigation.

I am so pleased to read that you felt fully supported throughout and well informed by our staff who do work very hard to ensure a positive patient experience regardless of how busy their workload is.

I will ensure that your feedback is forwarded to the Unit Manager and their team, who

I am sure will be thrilled to read your comments, which I hope is acceptable.

Once again, thank for your feedback and please contact us if you require any other assistance.

Kind regards

M Campbell
