"Monklands Same Day Admissions"

I attended Monklands Hospital Same Day Admissions today for a small procedure.

I was extremely nervous given that this was my first experience in hospital for any kind of surgery. 

From the minute I walked in I was reassured and kept up to date on what was happening by the two lovely ladies in admissions (I'm horrible with names - sorry!) 

When I was taken through to wait to go into theater, another nurse (I think his name was Gary) took a couple of minutes to explain what would happen in theatre and really helped with my nerves. I was then accompanied into theater by two lovely nurses (one of whom I think was a charge nurse) who talked to me and helped to keep me calm throughout the procedure and let me know what was happening. The doctor performing the operation - I think it was a Dr Newton was also fantastic and I felt really reassured throughout the whole thing. 

I can't thank any of the staff in same day admissions enough for being so kind and patient they are all truly assets to the NHS!
