I attended the joint physiotherapy orthopaedic today where I was treated by Tony. Tony is a credit to his profession. He provided clear and concise explanations throughout his assessment, demonstrated excellent person centred care when discussing and agreeing a treatment plan. I felt, that as the patient, I was truly listened to and involved in deciding how best to treat and manage my condition. I left with a clear plan of action and not only that, details of who to contact and how should my condition deteriorate. An excellent consultation which truly exceeded my expectations.
A small suggestion for NHS Lanarkshire re wayfinding. For this clinic it may be beneficial to include on appointment letters that the clinic waiting area is in and can be accessed via A and E or have a sign at the staircase directing patients. There is a sign at the front door but nothing thereafter so I was a little lost as to where to go.
Please pass on my thanks to Tony and the team, one very happy patient today.
