Although the Somerset Partnership Trust like to portray the image of a wonderful and idealistic service, I feel the truth is far from it. I've been under their care for a long time to discover what I feel is incompetence and corruption within the service. I feel that cuts to services has led to failing of patients and lack of resources. I feel I have been neglected and failed many times. I have found that when I have complained, then the service is biased and  do not like to admit mistakes. I had a very cold and distant psychiatrist who I felt failed me and I went to a private doctor as a result. The psychiatrist had very little compassion I felt I was treated like a statistic.

We are sorry that your experience of the Bridgwater Community Mental Health Service was not a positive one. We would be really interested to discuss with you the details of your experience so that we can learn from it and improve the service for others in the future.

However, please be assured that your complaint has been passed onto a senior manager who has discussed the issues you have raised with the team manager in Bridgwater and will be raising it with the service as a whole including the psychiatrists who work in Bridgwater.
