We are really concerned for our Mum, who has been under the care of The Somerset Mental Health Team for the past two years suffering with Depression and maybe a Personality Disorder. She feels, at times, very suicidal and has tried on many occasions to end her life and it affects us tremendously but we feel she gets treated unfairly because nobody knows how to help her in times of distress, so it's always the Police who land the job of looking out to her, by placing her in a cell, like a criminal.
We feel this has been going on and on and that's the way she's dealt with, no follow-up when they let her go the next day until the next time it happens. The Police are really good with her but it's not the way to go on - we don't know what to do, in our view nobody listens to her.. or to us, nothing gets done.
"Scared about our Mum!"
