"Harsh decision to be removed from list"

I was registered at Primary Care Connect practice Anfield Health. After receiving a letter from the CCG telling me of the planned closure of that practice I went to Albion Surgery and filled in forms to register there.  I was booked in to see the nurse but forgot to attend. When I realised this I rang the surgery. The receptionist was very nice but after consulting a manager she told me that I'd been removed from their list because if you’ve missed an appointment with the nurse you’ll miss an appointment with the doctor. I was fuming and think this was a harsh decision considering it was the first time. This is also the first time I've ever missed a medical appointment. I have now registered elsewhere.
