Recently I spent 3 weeks in Royal Surrey County Hospital undergoing very successful and complex orthopaedic surgery. I consider that RSCH is a very impressive hospital and the care I received from all the staff was excellent. Most contact was with the nursing staff, who work together so happily as a team.
Once a nurse on a drug round was singing to herself out loud. On another occasion a patient was sung "Happy Birthday" by the nurses at the start of the day and followed later with the good wishes of other staff. This helps to create a "feel good" factor for patients. The food is a great improvement with a wide choice to choose from prior to each meal (not the day before) and arrives hot. RSCH is to be congratulated for achieving such a high standard both professionally and in the way they care for patients.
