Visited my friend over 2 days on this ward. He won't write feedback himself. Best thing for him was the open style visiting. His daughter could visit around her work schedule and his friends could call in and help him with the odd job to return calls to keep a good standard going for his small business.
The Health care assistants were really nice and helped show visitors where people were in beds. The ward just felt nice and the nurses and health care assistants really bothered to give patients as good a service as they could.
All visitors left at meal times which was important.
The Bay was actually relaxing and patients could sleep in the day because there was no loud tellys in the bed areas - this was good actually for people who had not been in hospital long and needed to get calm.
The best thing was the down to earth friendliness of the staff on the ward.
