After a very sleepless night I arrived this morning at the Maxillofacial Clinic in a highly stressed state, to have a tooth removed.
My own dentist had deemed access and the condition of the tooth an issue and had referred me to Leighton Hospital.
I am dentistphobic, due to having more than my fair share of bad experiences over the years.
I’d also been advised that it might have to be cut out and there was a very small risk of permanent nerve damage that could affect the sensation in my lip.
Well...it turned out to be the least stressful experience I’ve ever had with a dentist!
Her ‘amiable assistant’ had fantastic people skills said ALL the right things to me.
So much so, I was already feeling confident and comfortable before I even got into the chair!
.
My dentist was absolutely brilliant. I hardly felt the three injections and my tooth was removed literally within seconds.
I was in a state of disbelief that it was all over so quickly.
I wasn’t even there long enough to pay for a parking ticket!
So hats off to the “A Team” and thank you so much for making what was in my mind was going to be an horrendous experience, into a more than tolerable one.
