My baby burned himself on his face with some hair straightners. We took him to Booth Hall hospital and they looked at him, gave us advice and said if he develops a rash it may mean the wound is infected - come back and let us inspect it.
After a few days he developed a rash so I took him back to the outpatient clinic, without an appointment.
We waited for about 40 minutes for a junior doctor in a pleasant airy waiting room with enough toys to keep him happy. She thought the rash did not like the sort of rash they were expecting, and said we could wait a couple of hours to see a more senior doctor if we liked, but she would prescribe some antibiotics and recommended we try them and see how he got on.
So we went home with our antibiotics - after having some lunch in the hospital canteen - and the baby is doing fine.
"A quick and friendly service"
