My 10 year old daughter had emergency appendicectomy last week at the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital, Surgical Ward. I would like to say that GP, doctors, nurses and support staff were excellent - making a rather traumatic experience more bearable. In particular I would like to commend Ms McCrimmon (a 5th year medical student) who had a caring, professional and gentle nature with my daughter - and will soon make a superb doctor (I hope paediatrics is her first choice for speciality). I would also like to comment of Kelsey, Acting Senior Nurse in Change, who, despite clearly being very busy, took the time to explain things and immediately engaged with my daughter ("Mum, we need to write her a thank you letter"). Kelsey was very accomplished and diligent in her duties and was first-rate - hope she is not acting up for long and gets promoted! Many thanks to all.
