I am writing to express my disappointment with the recent treatment I have received from Boston House CMHT.
My CPN was due to visit last tuesday at 4PM. That morning I had a phone from a student nurse to inform me my CPN was 'unavailable'. Let me be clear, I have no issue with anyone taking time off for personal reasons. My post is not about my CPN.
I was advised I would be telephoned Wednesday or Thursday to arrange substitute support. Needless to say no-one telephoned me.
I rang Boston House today, as I am in severe distress, and was advised that if I couldnt deal with how I felt - I should report to A+E. .
The gentleman I spoke to was polite and caring - but what is going on? Everybody knows that attending A+E in Wigan with a missing leg ensures a 4 hour wait. How long would I have to be there for a psychiatric assessment?
As a result of these recent communications, and my inherent psychological issues, I now feel abandoned, devalued and insignificant.
My self-injury is running rife, but I have no intention of seeking 'official' help.
There are so many voices out there - crying out in the dark and the system is failing us all.
