I would like to take this moment to espress my gratitude to the excellent care I have received when attending accident and emergency department at Wishaw general hospital a few days ago. I was in very acute pain and was seen promptly by triage nurses and taken through to department for pain management. The first nurse I came into contact with was Caroline who immediately introduced herself and guided me to a cubicle for further management as I was in a bit of distress to say the least. I was then cared for by nurses Erin and Rachel who acting very promptly in assessing my condition and acting promptly with appropriate pain management and blood tests. I was then seen by a doctor called Ashleigh who was very friendly and professional and listened attentively to my history of the pain I was experiencing. I was also cared for by nurses Sharon and Linda. All the girls were very empathetic to my needs and acted professionally in advocating my need for admission for pain management which I am externally grateful for. I was admitted for a few days and now thankfully home and awaiting further tests. . As a health care professional myself I feel very strongly that it is important to let staff know they are doing an excellent job under great pressure in this climate of the nhs and their senior management must be very proud of them all
"Excellent care"
