I was diagnosed with breast cancer in September last year. But have been in and out of Northampton Hospital since July 2005. In the beginning the consultant said my lump was a gland, it was a big shock when I was told it was cancer. This of course delayed my operation. I had a bad experience on the Beckett Ward with an operation that seemed to go wrong. The wrong "draw" had been put on the scarring and as a result it became infected. This infection delayed my Chemotherapy treatment. However since then everything has been great. I am still undergoing Chemotherapy and treatment, but I would like to say a big thank you firstly to the Oncology department where Mr Howton and his nurse Joy are marvellous and really look after me, and make me feel at home and welcome everytime I come. And secondly to Debbie and the girls at Radiotherapy who are excellent. These people have turned me around and I am now much more postive in my outlook. Thank you
" A BIG thankyou to Oncology and Radiology"
