I have written two formal letters to the CMHT requesting that I be put under the 'care' of another Consultant Psychiatrist after the way I was treated during my appointment in January of this Year.

The first letter I sent was in January 2020 and the second in early February 2020. I have not received a reply to either of these letters.

The appointment I had in January, put me on a downer for several days and I decided I could not face the member of staff again without getting very angry. Therefore, in order to avoid such a situation I wrote to the Hesketh Centre. 

About a week after I sent the first letter, I received a letter from the Hesketh Centre informing me that an appointment had been made for me in March. I wrote back stating that I will not be attending said appointment if it is with this member of staff or the team. I also stated that I had not received a reply to my first letter.I am still waiting.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience through Care Opinion and I am sorry to hear that your experience with one of our consultants at an outpatient appointment was not a positive experience.

Mersey Care strives to continually improve the care provided and our staff are an essential component in delivering this, it is disappointing to hear that your experience did not meet the required standards.

The service managers have tried to contact you in response to your letters and have been made aware of your comments. If you would like to contact the Community Team Manager, Sharon Ball on 01704 383100 we can look into the specific details of your complaint and discuss the issues you raise.

Still waiting for a reply to my letters written in January and February 2020.

Nobody from the Hesketh Centre has contacted me. I expect a written reply.
