Forgotten, abandoned, age discrimination, had they lost the request.
I went to the eye clinic in June last year, the clinician wanted another test done but this could not be done on the day. It was thought I would be sent an appointment for this in a few weeks, which to me seemed acceptable .
Now months later I have received the test appointment for April this year. This long wait is unacceptable. I was told by a member of staff last time I went to the clinic they they felt that patients were being 'encouraged' to go privately by such long waiting times in this eye clinic.
It is simply bad practice, eyes are so important, patients could lose their sight or sight deteriorate badly during these long delays. We all know that the NHS money has been cut during the last 10 years by this government and this is just one, of many I guess, results of these cuts.
"Huge delay in tests in eye clinic"
