I was a patient at the Nottingham Queen's Medical Centre with a torn knee cartilage. Generally the standard of nursing care was good, but when the night staff came on duty they were extremely loud in their conversations, keeping me and others awake.
At the fracture clinic when I got the MRI results, the consultant told me I had a tendon problem which would be covered by BUPA. However, after discussing the practicalities of this, it transpired that the MRI results were those of a male! The consultant was amused by this, but i told him I'd not been able to work for 3 months and so I was not laughing. I was then put on the emergency list for the operation, and was operated on the next day.
However I had to wait for 6 and a half hours before being told I had a bed and would be operated on. After this, I was much happier and things went smoothly from then.
