"Chandos Surgery CLOSED"

I had a text from the surgery to say a long term medical condition was overdue for review and I needed to arrange an appointment as matter of urgency. I rang up and was told they had shut the Chandos surgery ! I would have to travel to Woodhouse. Not a very good idea at this time! I can’t believe they have shut our local surgery at a time when you are not meant to travel. Why have local patients been abandoned by the surgery? A lot of the local patients are elderly and need a local surgery not one miles away. Are you wanting to stop offering a service in this area? If so we need to know not have this done by stealth!
