"Stay in hospital"

About: Victoria Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

The ward and staff from theatre to nursing staff to physios to cleaners were extremely caring and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as pleasant as could be. Felt very taken care of and important to them

Hello Pauline. I had a knee replacement this July. From the time I entered Ward 10 the care I had from ALL of the staff was 5*. They were all very caring and anxious that my stay was a comfortable as it could be. My surgeon, Mrs Mitchell, was very reassuring, the anaesthetist, Ian, and staff in the Pre theatre again were very supportive and reassuring and when I was returned to ward 10 the nurses were very attentive and caring.

I know that these are difficult times due to Covid and patient attendance is less but I was made to feel important. In the ward particular mention to the night staff especially Cathy ( who makes the most amazing toast) and day staff Tracy & John who we’re working long shifts and giving 100% all of the time. Lorna has a great team there. They were all fabulous but those are the only names I can remember. Thank you again to one and all.
