Earlier this year I sadly experienced a miscarriage at 9. 5 weeks pregnant. I cannot thank all the staff at the early pregnancy unit of Edinburgh Royal Infirmary enough for their wonderful care. Even in the middle of a pandemic I was treated with care, compassion and empathy. I was given time and careful explanations about what was to happen next. When it came time for my inpatient treatment I was admitted as a day case to ward 210 RIE. The care I experienced there was also excellent. The nurses were kind and responsive to all my needs. I feel lucky in NHS Lothian that woman experiencing miscarriage are treated with such kindness and care during such a horrendous time.
