"Outstanding physiotherapy service"

I currently suffer from chronic pain in my left knee and I subsequently suffered from sciatica on my right hip/leg. The combined affects of both nerve pains culminated in excruciating pain to the point that I couldn’t even think or listen. 

Given the above I made an appointment in 2019 with Marc, physiotherapist  at the Kersiebank Medical practice. During my examination Marc explained what could be causing my sciatic pain in detail. He showed me what movements/exercises I could do to help assist in minimising my pain. 

Several months later, (Dec 2019) I again attended at Kersiebank Medical Practice where again I was seen by Marc. At this juncture my pain had reached horrendous levels clearly to the detriment of my daily life. Again Marc made attempts to alleviate my pain through various methods clearly showing his in-depth knowledge of the physics of the body. 

The next day I had a MRI and Marc subsequently phoned my mobile and spent a lengthy period informing myself of the results of my MRI and possible outcomes. 

Ultimately I was waiting on an update from FVRH/GP when the global pandemic struck. 

As the country was just starting to open back up Marc took the time out from his busy schedule to contact me to see how I was doing. This alone shows Marc’s professional ability and management of his limited time to see how I was getting on. 

I know the health service is currently receiving plaudits for their service during the current pandemic and so they should but I feel that additional praise and recognition should go to Marc. He was welcoming, knowledgable, caring and his use of empathy was to be commended. I wish and hope that more public servants are of the same ilk as Marc.
