(as a carer),

For the second time now since May 2020  the Acute Care at Home Team have came to look after our 86 year old mum. The first time was during lockdown and everyone in our famiky was very anxious and scared but not the staff they came in with all their protective gear and took mum under their wing..each and everyone one of them nurses, Dr, consultant, physio and ot.. they treated mum with the utmost respect trying at all times to involve her in discussions even though they wearing masks and shields during some of the hottest days of the year...they never complained...they prevented a hospital admission something that we were so grateful for..as all we wanted was mum at Home getting the help she needed... the second time recently was so similar ..again prevented mum having to be admitted to hospital...hsving the IV drip up in her own home is just priceless..the team is a credit to the Trust..

Hello,

Many thanks for your lovely feedback. I’m so glad that our Acute Care at Home Team were able to care for your mum when she was unwell. For many of our older population, being able to remain at home, is in their best interest both within and outside of a pandemic situation. Like you, I too am very proud of the team.
