Having to give up trying to deal with severe pain at home, I was given advice from 111 that I should attend A&E at R.A.H. I was not looking forward to going because of my past experiences but the amount of pain I was in drove the necessity.
After waiting half an hour to be triaged, once through to a room, everyone I came in contact with was so nice. Even when I was vomiting!
They were quick to get me to ct scan and after several doses of pain relief it finally was under control.
The conclusion was a kidney stone that was working its way down. Never felt pain like that before!
So a huge thank you to the student nurses, nurses, doctors, radiographers etc who helped me. You were all so kind.
I know you wanted me up on the bed but I was just in too much pain. Sorry.
Thanks again to all of you.
