Partner wanting advice on Test Results and what to do next, following significant pain and arrhythmia issues, still, after a pacemaker implant two years ago, makes a telephone appointment (over a week ago for the earliest appointment) with the GP practice for today.
After waiting for the call, gets a ring on the phone, picks up, and hears a piercing tone then the call is cut off. GP doesn't call back and, as calls are outbound only by the GP, patient can't! On patient calling the GP number, engaged continuously until an hour later, at which point told the doctor concerned has 'gone Home'. Friday 4pm. Wanting a quick replacement consultation with anyone else there, answer: 'they've all gone home.' Asking for a replacement consultation ASAP, told 'a week on Monday'. 'A week on Monday' is not an acceptable replacement appointment when today's was not missed by the patient, but was cut off by a technical problem and not followed up by the GP.
