Had yet another bad gallbladder infection and pancreatitis. Which had me back as another emergency admission to Ninewells Hospital. This time for 6 days. Again the staff were all really wonderful and deserve more praise for what they are coping with than I can express. The doctors I saw also showed concern after hearing my history. And I really do sympathize with the constraints they must be working under when it comes to rescheduling procedures. But again I am back home with a course of antibiotics and my pain meds when needed. But unfortunately no-one could commit to a time scale at all. This time I had over a months warning that something was wrong once more as I started having pain and feeling unwell. I went to my GP and was told there was nothing that could be done and to go home and keep taking pain meds. Is there anyone else at all I could contact if the same thing happens again? As if I had been seen sooner the level of infection would not have got to the level that it ended up as 1 MORE emergency admission to hospital with the associated expense to the NHS and missery to myself.
