"End of Life for my Mum"

About: District Nursing Scottish Ambulance Service

(as a service user),

I would like to thank all the district nurses from Atholl Medical Practice in Pitlochry, Perthshire. They cared for my mum Jemima so well throughout and my family could not have done without them.

There are also two people I want to mention that has given me inner strength to cope with my mums death, district nurse Claire who is from Atholl practice who was the most caring person I have came across. I just keep going back to the day my mum passed and Claire was so caring and understanding of what we were all going through. Most importantly so kind and caring to my mum. I am so glad Claire was there so thank you Claire. I also want to thank the specialist paramedic Jonathon from Perthshire who also came out on the day of my mums passing and he was so caring and lovely too.

This was not an easy time for me and my family but I do have these memories of these loving caring staff and this is how I would wanted this for my mum as she was such a loving caring mum too. So I want to say a massive thank you to you all. You definitely make this world a better place in these difficult times and deserve medals for the work you do.

Kind Regards

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mum. Having experienced the loss of a parent recently I can sympathise with how difficult it is.

It’s so often so hard to talk about such personal and emotional experiences so I just want to sincerely thank you for taking the time to share how caring and supportive Claire and the paramedic was and how their care for you has continued to help you during this difficult time.

I have shared this with the lead nurse for Perth and Kinross who will make sure Claire sees your feedback. I am sure it will be very much appreciated.

Wishing you some peace and recovery from this very difficult time.

Kindest regards

Debbie

Dear Dazdoh,

I was so sorry to hear about your mum Jemima. It was really kind of you to tell us about your experience with Claire and Jonathon at what must be a very difficult time for you and your family. Thank you.

I will make sure Jonathon sees your feedback and I know how much it will mean to him to hear he has been part of helping, in a small way, to make such a sad time just a little easier.

Thank you again and best wishes to you and your family,

Kenny
