What I liked
My mother was in Marjorie Warren ward following a stroke and she received excellent care from all staff. She was treated with kindness and respect and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.
I was impressed by the cleanliness of the ward and the trouble taken by staff to ensure the comfort of the patients.
What could be improved
Lack of staff in reception in the evenings. When I first visited at around 7.30 when my mother was first admitted I could find no-one to tell me how to locate the ward and I could not find any information on the directional boards
Anything else?
Hospital is very difficult to reach by public transport from Enfield. People who I spoke to avoid Silver Street Station after dark feeling unsafe as I did the sole time I used it. A bus from Enfield that actually pulls onto the forecourt would make a huge difference. Some discussions with London transport perhaps?
