On Thursday this week my Grandmother, Isobella, was admitted to Forth Valley Royal hospital, due to contracting covid. Sadly she lost her very hard fought battle with it.
Her care throughput was exemplary. From her admission in AAU to the care she recieved from the staff in A32.
All the staff were absolutely brilliant and credit to fvrh. Showing compassion and care to my gran at all times.
I would like to pay particular praise to nurse Lindsey (sorry if spelling is wrong) in A32. Throughout she was compassionate and professional, offering me and my gran support, emotional and physical, throughout my grans final hours to an exceptionally high standard.
She worked with me at this point to ensure that at the end my gran, could pass with some peace and dignity. This effort and care from her will stay with me forever and went far and beyond. I hope she knows how special to my family she was in them two nights.
She said to me how well I seemed to handle what at times was a very distressing time for my gran and very hard to watch. She doesn't know this calm reaction was partly due to how caring she was. It took a few hours after my grans passing for the grief to set in. But this grief was eased due to the care she received by Lindsay and all in A32.
Thanks to all the staff at fvrh.
"My Grandmother care."
