We just wanted to express our thanks to all the 'NHS heroes' who helped us to provide palliative care for our loved one. The support has been excellent and has overwhelmed us - from the Fountain Medical Centre in Newark who helped with a swift diagnosis, the paramedics and the ambulance crews in the Newark / Grantham area who responded quickly and efficiently when needed, to the community nurses of the Newark area who delivered wonderful and caring support during a very stressful time. Thanks also to Newark and Sherwood council services. Our particular thanks go to Louise and THE WHOLE OF THE PALLIATIVE CARE TEAM who organised all the necessary equipment, care and support to help us to look after our loved one at home as he wished. We were especially grateful for the Hospice at Home care provided towards the end by the team at Beaumond House, Newark.
