"Gastrointestinal problems"

About: Royal Alexandra Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as a service user),

I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease just after the first lock down last March, most of my care subsequently has taken place over the phone.   I have spoken to my gastroenterologist, IBD nurses and my surgeon.   I did see the surgeon face to face, to prepare me for surgery.   I have had Two booked surgeries, which both had to be cancelled due to the pandemic.   I totally understand this, and the care and support I have received has been great.   I spoke to my gastroenterologist today, and talked over my options.   I have decided to wait for the treatment which hopefully will take place in the next few months.
