I was a patient on Ward 230 this week and want to say how impressed I was by the whole experience. Vivian and Sandra welcomed me and explained where everything was they made me feel at ease.
The day of my operation the anaesthetists both took time to come and explain the procedure I was about to have done and asked if I had any questions. The theatre nurses were very respectful and did a great job of making me feel less nervous. I was in recovery before I knew it and the nice Irish nurse (sorry ive forgotten his name) phoned my husband to inform him of my progress.
Nothing was a bother for any of the team on the ward the HCSW went out of their way and were very polite and kind to me. The SCN Joseph was very professional and he also went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed, I appreciated that considering the amount of pressure the wards are under with staff shortages etc at this time.
On the day of my discharge Leanne made sure I had everything I needed to get home and did a great job of explaining what I would need to do with regards to meds and going to my doctor for removal of the clips. I could not fault this Ward in any way the whole experience was a good one and I believe that helps in your recovery thanks to you all.
