I had to attend A& E with my 18 month old after she slipped coming off a trampoline and couldn't weightbear. Every single person we came into contact with had the absolute highest levels of empathy, kindness and patience with us. From the nurse who assessed us at the door to the happy nurse who saw us in the waiting room to assess for head injuries. The consultant who went out his way to bring my daughter juice when she said she was thirsty and the radiographers who allowed me to wear a lead coat and gave her stickers. As it turns out my daughter had a fracture on her ankle. This was dealt with quickly and she was fitted with a moon boot. The whole experience was patient centred and holistic. The staff also cared for myself. I was so so grateful for the care shown to me and my daughter which in my mind went above and beyond call of duty. Thank you.
