(as the patient),

I had my gallbladder removed yesterday in Day Surgery at Ayr Hospital and wanted to say a HUGE thank you first of all to the lady who pushed my case through to get me in for the surgery.

I am so happy that I was able to get my surgery on the NHS as this took away intense stress of having to pay private and also the constant anxiety of having attacks when I'm at home with the baby and toddler.

Treatment was 100 percent perfection yesterday, all staff made me comfortable, explained everything well and clear, extremely friendly friendly chatty and really made me feel at ease.  I'm not the easiest patient as have food allergies and my veins are rubbish but nothing was a problem to anyone, I was treated amazingly!

Thanks to Mr Hussain who done the surgery, you have taken away so much of the pain I had.

Once again thanks to all the staff that have looked after me whilst I've been in and out of A&E since February with gallbladder pain.  

Special thanks to all the ladies in Station 4 who looked after me when I was admitted back in February.  

I am so grateful to have had this surgery, thank you all so much.

Dear heyduggee

Thank you so much for your post. Im delighted to hear you had such a positive experience. I myself have had my gallbladder removed so I know the relief when its all done without any problems and that nasty gallbladder pain is a thing of the past.

Its amazing how quickly we can recover from surgery with all the advancements in surgery and pain management.

I hope you continue to recover well and thanks again for taking the time to share your experience. The staff all appreciate it.
