About: Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre

(as a service user),

After being told by my PET scan had shown a potential spread of melanoma to my sternum, I was advised that my case would be reviewed at MDT meeting and I would be called with results. 

I had to call myself the day after the MDT and was told my case was not reviewed as there was no radiologist and there wouldn’t be one in the MDT for 2 weeks.

This means a delay in a diagnosis confirmation and more stress for myself and my family wondering if it has spread or not.

Dear Cambers79,

Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. I was really sorry to read that your MDT results were delayed and this was not communicated with you. I appreciate how worrying a time this must be for you and I am sorry this delay has ONLY added to this.
