"Wards at Huntley Centre St Pancras Psychiatric Hospital "

About: Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust St Pancras Hospital

(as the patient),

I have been admitted to the wards at the Huntley Centre when sectioned. I have been on a mixed ward and womens ward. Nearly all the nursing staff are African but very few of the patients are. The community is not mostly African it is diverse. If you dont have diversity in the ward staff then they are limited in life experience and shared culture values.

It is camden they should have more Bengali nurses for example as this is the largest ethnic minority community. Nurses can be very nice or very cruel. If there were nurses from different backgrounds then these views would be challenged by her colleagues and patients would find it easier to complain when this happened.
