"Triaged quickly via ADOC"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Ayrshire Doctor on Call (ADOC) General practices in Ayrshire & Arran

(as a service user),

Developed cellulitis last weekend and was triaged fairly quickly due to being  immunosuppression. From the call handler to the nurse and finally the on call female GP at Ayrshire Central the service was first class. I woke up next morning to 3 missed calls from follow up. Had my phone on silent  from day before lol.

They phoned next day and advised me to see GP for a quick  check even though the cellulitis was abating.

Tried to do this but was informed  by receptionist  that it could only be via video call. Gave up and told them not to bother. I'm not of the generation that shows bits of body online. I just about managed texting .

Thankfully all  seems  OK but had it not I would have been one of those A and E clogged uppers.

ADOC thank you.
