"Treated as a child at the dialysis unit"

About: Vale of Leven General Hospital / Renal Dialysis

(as the patient),

I attend the dialysis unit regularly at the Vale of Leven Hospital for treatment.

Although most of the nursing team are exceptionally nice and go out of their way, I feel insecure when I am dictated to when I am weighed, and if my weight is over 74kg it's not fair that only one nurse has to give me a row. I feel like I am spoken to like a child by this one nurse who is always in what I feel is a bad mood. For the past month I been feeling depressed and really not wanting to go to my dialysis sessions through the week.

Another matter I would like to address is the abrupt manner of one other staff member whose attitude towards patients is unacceptable and also needs addressing. This should not be happening, as yesterday I left the unit in tears when I got home. I am a grown adult, not a child 😔
