"The best maternity experience"

I would like to start by thanking every member of staff that helped bring my little girl safely into this world. I have to say the care and kindness that myself and my husband experienced whilst in the induction suite, labour ward and maternity ward was nothing more than outstanding. You all do not get the credit you deserve.

I spent a lot of my pregnancy anxious and worried due to health concerns and the loss of a previous baby but every staff member went out their way to ensure I was relaxed, supported and guided through my birthing journey. I would like to say special mention to nursing assistant Ruth in induction you genuinely made our experience the best from the beginning you are the most kind and caring person I think I’ve ever met and I will always be so grateful to have had the opportunity to met you. Please never change you are a special type of person that just brings happiness and warmth to the room (p.s my other daughter loves her baby sister more than anything).

To my midwives Jacquelyne & Harriet (induction) you are super heroes, and how you do it I’ll never know! My labour nurses Robyn and Erin, there are no words for how thankful I am to you both. I know how busy and probably stressed they all are every day but not once did it show, made me feel like I was the only person in the hospital having a baby and to all the girls in the maternity ward from the domestics, nursery nurses, midwives you were all a pleasure to meet, thank you for all the chit chats and just that gentle reminder of how to care for a newborn again. I am fully aware of the demands needed to do any job in the NHS but the way every individual made me feel from admission to discharge was what I can only describe as royal treatment (p.s not one cup of tea or slice of toast wasn’t perfection).
