This is the second time I have had to get in contact regarding whiston hospital. My husband was taken to a&e. he has mixed dementia and recently diagnosed cancer. after trying to get through to a&e for 4 hours I went up to find out what was going on. I was told they were waiting for a bed. 29 hours later he is still in the department and again they are not answering the phones. only for the switchboard I would not know where he was. after my last complaint the lack of communication is still ongoing. I realise the department may be busy but after trying to get through again is impossible.
