(as a service user),

My mum was admitted to station 16 for total knee replacement. All went well until day 2 post-op. She became very unwell. I cannot thank the staff enough for the care and keeping me informed of how she was progressing. They left no stone unturned to find the cause. Thankfully due to their thoroughness mum made a full recovery and came home last night. We are so grateful to each and every one of the staff we encountered. You all deserve a huge pay rise for what you do in these stressful times. God bless you all.

Thank you for this fantastic feedback back. I’m sorry your mum was unwell post op but I am glad that she is now back home with you.

You may or not be aware that this is a brand new unit for us here at Ayr and the staff have experienced an unsettling time recently due the changes.

As one of their managers I am proud to hear that despite everything they are keeping their patients and their families foremost in their minds as we strive to deliver the best possible care for each and everyone of our patients as we move forward with our new unit.

Please be assured your feedback will be shared with all staff in St16 & will be given pride of place as our first official Care Opinion feedback on our ward.

My best wishes to you and your mum on her continued recovery.
