(as a service user),

I underwent major oesophageal surgery a year ago today at BCH. I cannot find words to adequately express my appreciation to Mr MacAulay and his team. My gratitude also extends to the other consultants and nurses who cared for me during my 8-week recovery at RVH’s ICU and HDU and the district nurses at home. Despite the enormous pressures of Covid, the care and attention I have received from day 1 has been (and continues to be) 5-star +++

I have worked for 40 years in many parts of the public sector but I have never witnessed team work, cooperation, patience and commitment like what I have been privileged to enjoy from these professionals.
