"eConsult service not fit for purpose"

About: Laurie Pike Health Centre

Having failed on many occasions to make an appointment with a GP I tried the eConsult service. It is not fit for purpose. I want to ask about blood test results and starting a statin and every time I end up at a page which asks me about pain or bleeding or depression or lumps or eye problems or nausea etc and unless I pick one of these myriad problens which I do not have I cannot proceed any further. So it's back to waiting hours at 8am day after day to try and speak to someone. Why can I not just email the surgery to describe my problem?

Thank you for your feedback regarding e-consults. I am sorry that you have found it difficult to get through to the practice and also to use the e-consult service. I will be more than happy to discuss this further with you. Please do not hesitate to contact the practice on the new telephone number or alternatively via email to modality.lphc@nhs.net.
