(as the patient),

I have recently had an appointment that had been cancelled due to sickness. Rescheduled for 3 days later. Arrived at 1.00 pm for 1.05pm appointment. Had eye tests by nurse as soon as I arrived then asked to wait in waiting room as consultant not due until 1:30pm   So I don’t understand why we needed to be there 30 mins early. 

There was 2 other patients.  No others arrived  - all of us having eye injections   So not sure why it took over 2-3 hours to inject 3 patients ?? During the pandemic I attended here for other eye injections & it was literally in & out. 

As always the nurses were fabulous & there were 4 in the theatre so clearly staffing was not an issue. The procedure takes a few minutes. Thanks

Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences at your eye clinic appointment at Stockport Hospital. Please see below a response provided on behalf of the Division:

'Thank you for your feedback, without the specific date for your appointment I am unable to respond to the particular issues on this day however generally we do strive to have a service where patients are seen and treated as they arrive. We will review the injection service over the next few weeks to monitor for timeliness of appointments.

Please can I take this opportunity to thank you again for your feedback and apologies that on this occasion your treatment was delayed.'
