I was a patient in Maternity at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham for the removal of a retained placenta. The midwives and nurses were very helpful and sympathetic.
However, I felt like I did not have control over my treatment. Consultants were patronising - sometimes rude - despite the fact that I was undergoing some unpleasant procedures.
