After having breast cancer in 2019 I ended up having a mastectomy and breast reconstruction. Although I was grateful the cancer was gone and that with a bra on I didn't look any different I couldn't look at myself in the mirror naked.

I'd received a prosthetic nipple which looked great when it was inplace but unfortunately wasn't a permanent solution I was then offered the nipple tattoo service at Ninewells Dundee which absolutely changed my world, I cried when I removed the dressing for the first time - it felt like I was back........ and my breast cancer journey was complete after 2 and half years.

I can't stress enough how important the tattoo service is and how it changes breast cancer patients' well-being and mental health. I sincerely hope this service will continue.
