"My Aunt in awe"

I recently accompanied my Aunt, who is currently visiting from USA, to the TIA assessment unit in SWAH and both of us couldn't praise the staff enough for the care my Aunt received throughout her appointment.  My Aunt was  met at reception by Nurse specialist Sheila whose welcoming, professional and caring nature was evident from the outset.  Sheila carried out a thorough initial assessment whilst explaining everything in detail and taking due time which very much put my Aunt at ease.  My Aunt was then assessed by Dr Elamin and again the care received was excellent with all relevant tests being carried out at the time and reported back to my Aunt prior to leaving hospital.  Both Sheila and Dr Elamin had students shadowing them on the day and it was a pleasure to see how they were imparting their knowledge and nurturing a learning environment and it would be remiss not to highlight how kind and caring both students were as well.  My Aunt was in awe of the service she received and wanted to ensure that Dr Elamin, Sheila and all the team, to include radiology were rightly highlighted for the excellent service they are providing.  Many thanks to you all and thankfully my Aunt is doing very well.
